DAY 1 : Pick up from your Hotel and after short stops at Thermopylae, at the statue of king Leonidas, at the new museum of Thermopylae with historical briefing about the battle of Thermopylae through digital applications and at the wonderful Tempi Valley, we will arrive at the biggest town of Northern Greece, Thessaloniki. We will visit the Cathedral of St. Demetrius and after our check in you will have free time to walk and enjoy the town and the coast of Thermaikos Gulf. Overnight in Thessaloniki.
DAY 2 : On our second day we will visit the small town of Nea Fokea and the "Agiasma of St. Paul", that is an underground corridor which ends to the chamber where St. Paul was hidden when people of Thessaloniki were running after him. Afterwards we will reach the town of Kavala and then Filippoi where St. Paul preached his first evangelical sermon and baptized the first Christians in Europe! Visit the ''Baptismal'' site, where Lydia was baptized as the first European woman. Finally, we will visit Acropolis of Filippoi, the Ancient Market, Basilica and Theater. Overnight in Kavala.
DAY 3 : Today we will arrive at the beautiful town of Veria at Northwestern Greece. We will visit the church of Apostle Paul and the made of marble ''Vima of Apostle Paul'', the place Paul preached to the people of one of his beloved towns for many days. We will continue to the Ancient town of Vergina and to the King’s tombs, one of them was Alexander's the Great father and ex-king and we will finally arrive to the picturesque town of Kalambaka, next to the amazing monasteries of Meteora. Overnight in Kalambaka.
DAY 4 : We will drive to Meteora and the breathtaking rock tower of monasteries of the 11th Century! We visit Megalo Meteoro and St. Stephan monasteries and then we will continue to the ancient town of Delphi, the most powerful oracle in Ancient Greece! There we will visit the ancient stadium and the museum. Our next stop will be at the wonderful Osios Loukas monastery at Livadia. Overnight in Athens.
DAY 5 : Today we will wake up in Athens in order to continue following Apostle Paul's footsteps, starting from the coast of Faliro where Paul first arrived in Athens by ship, we will visit one of the biggest churches in Athens of St. Paul and then next to the Acropolis, the ''Mars Hill'' where Paul stood and preached to the Athenians. Our tour in Athens continues by visiting the Ancient Market, the Acropolis, the new Museum, the Parliament, the Presidential Guards and the most important sightseeing of the town including the breathtaking sunset at the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio. Overnight in Athens.
DAY 6 : We will visit Paul’s beloved city of Corinth, the town that inspired many from Paul’s letters. We will also visit the Ancient Corinth, the Cathedral of St. Paul, the ancient Market and we will walk at the same paths that the Apostle of Nations walked and preached hundreds of years earlier. Our next visits will be at the ancient town of Mycenae and the Gate of Lions. Later a short stop will follow at the beautiful town of Nauplio and at the Canal of Corinth to follow the road back to Athens.
Important Information regarding entrance to churches-monasteries:
Both ladies and gentlemen need to avoid bare shoulders or bare legs in order to avoid refusal of entry. For the ladies is better to wear long skirts even if in some cases long skirts are offered during the visit to the certain church-monastery.
