Pick up from your hotel and head to the breathtaking Canal of Corinth (6km length and 80m height!) for a short stop to enjoy the views and take photos. We continue to Nemea where according to Greek mythology Hercules overcame the Nemean Lion (the first of his 12 labors) and during antiquity the “Nemean Games” were taking place. Moreover, Nemea is one of the most important wine producing places in Greece, for its producing quantity and excellent quality. There we will also learn traditions, taste wines with different flavors and aromas by visiting two local wineries!
The most relaxing part of our tour in the afternoon, will be when we will arrive at one of the most beautiful and picturesque towns of Greece and the first capital city of the modern Greek history, Nauplio! There you will be able to enjoy your lunch by tasting typical Greek plates and you will travel back in time as you will walk through the narrow streets past beautiful houses and the city's two landmarks, the castles of Palamidi and Bourtzi. After a day filled with new and amazing experiences, we will take you back at your hotel.
Please note that instead of visiting the city of Nauplio you have two alternative options by choosing to visit either the Ancient Mycenae or the Ancient Nemea and enjoy your lunch there as well.
The archaeological site of Mycenae is an ancient town with great power during the ancient years, with the famous well-preserved "Gate of Lions" and "Atreus King Tomb".
In Ancient Nemea according to Greek mythology Hercules overcame the Nemean Lion (the first of his 12 labors) and during antiquity the Nemean Games were taking place. We will visit the archaeological site of Nemea and its museum.
